Trojita, the fastest Email Client - Gmail Setup Guide

I had recently switched to KDE from Gnome and was looking for an Alternative for Geary. I really liked how fast Geary was and neither Thunderbird nor KMail could act as a replacement for my need(Simple and fast). Before giving up for another Electron app, I gave a try to Trojita and immediately fell in love with its speed. It was blazingly fast to the extent even Geary could never match! This is a simple guide to setup Trojita for Gmail.  Sources: OMG Ubuntu Google Support Overview: You need to make use of App Passwords in Google Account in order to access Trojita through Gmail (The other way is to enable Less Secure App Access which doesn't sound inviting!). App Passwords, in turn, need 2-Factor Authentication turned on. After installing Trojita, you need to setup IMAP servers for Gmail. Turn on 2- Step Verification Set up App Passwords Install Trojita Logging in with Gmail 1. Turn on 2-StepVerification Open your Google Account . In the navigation panel, select Security . Un

LEDs causes more Light Pollution than Sodium Vapour Lamps!

It was a revolutionary discovery for the energy-conservationists when LEDs emerged as a possible replacement for ever-hungry sodium vapour lamps. Then there emerged the promises by government to replace the existing sodium covered streets with LEDs glorious white. And it was a huge success!
But now, people are starting to realise the side effects of these efforts as the time evolved. One of the latest startling news is the new photos released by the NASA taken by the astronauts in the International Space Station.Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) — which are touted for their energy-saving properties — are actually making light pollution worse. And the change is so intense that ISS crew members can see it from space.
To see it, take a look at these photos that astronauts snapped of the bustling city of Milan.
Before Milan transitioned to LEDs, in 2012, the lighting levels in the surrounding suburbs were about the same as those of the city center.

But by 2015, after the city transitioned to LEDs, illumination levels in the city center were much brighter than those of the suburbs, with a higher amount of blue light.
Cities around the world have been replacing energy-guzzling streetlights with brighter and whiter energy-saving LEDs. In fact, New York City is retrofitting all of its 250,000 street lights with LEDs. However these energy savings have resulted in unhappy dwellers.
LEDs worsen light pollution by giving off more blue and green light than the high-pressure sodium lights they normally replace. This disrupts night and day cycles which can confuse nocturnal animals and alter their hunting interactions, migratory patterns, and internal physiology.
It can also mess with our internal clocks. We produce melatonin at night to help us sleep, which is regulated by light and dark cycles. If we're exposed to light at night, this can suppress melatonin levels, leading to sleep disorders or other problems such as headaches, anxiety, and obesity.
